I put the car in drive and stall it to 2800 and let it eat! I think my lack of gear, heavy weight car/driver, and torque managment are keeping the car from running the number I am looking for!

You can footbrake it to 3200 on the street?! That must be one hell of a loose converter! Try launching from a lower RPM. I was launching at ~22-2400 and dropping it down to 1800 allowed the converter to hit the tires harder initially. Just my .02

The guy I quoted is on the money, although the electric water pump is not a good bang for the buck, expensive for only a little gain. You have a LS1 intake manifold, right? If so, would get a LS6 intake manifold (externally nobody will notice the difference and it can be worth 8-10 hp). Port the throttle body and do the TB coolant bypass mod. UD pulley will free up 5-8 hp. Probably a lot more weight reduction that can be done as has been said. The biggest gain would be a good tune, you are leaving a lot on the table with a stock tune. Good luck.

I normally beer people away from 1.8 rockers, but this time I agree, I think they would really help...just be sure to upgrade the valve springs at the same time.
