Default Ls6 head (head bolts?)

Putting ls6 heads on my ls1.

Need to know what gasket I should order and I guess ARP head bolts?

If someone could provide me a link where I could order these I would greatly appreciate it.

About to dig around on summit and Texas speed and see what I come up with.

What year LS1? If it's older than 2004, you need the early style head bolts. I got my head bolts and gaskets from Texas Speed.

http://texas-speed.com/p-784-arp-hex...04-blocks.aspx

It's hard to beat the GM MLS head gaskets. Get the LS1 gaskets if you have a LS1 or LS6 block.

Best place to get a head swap kit is Texas-speed.com...it is cheaper to go through them then anywhere else, plus you will have everything you need....
Unless you plan on taking the heads off in the future I wouldn't waste money on arp bolts, the GM ones are still good quality for what you are doing...the only thing the arp bolts do is make it easier to torque the rear head bolts under the coal rather than "stretching" the GM bolts. I used GM bolts and unless I was turbo/supercharging it I would spend the money for the arp...
Figured I'd tell you my experience...good luck bro (those 243s do make a nice difference!)

Thanks guys. And yeah it's pre 04. I ended up ordering everything from TX speed. Went with ARP bolts and GM gasket. Hope those 243's really do make a solid difference.

Good choice - the texas speed kit is everything you need. ARP bolts are nice especially if you plan on taking the heads off in the future. I've taken the heads off my Vette 3 times since owning it and it's very nice to just reuse the bolts plus they are top quality.
