Help with Degreeing a Cam
cam is a lunati voodoo vdls-277
cam card reads
lobe separation 113
109 centerline
with 4 advanced
Intake opens at 4.5
Now when i measure the lifter a .050 i get 0.5
and when i use the centerline method i get 118
Can anyone tell me if this sounds right or if i need adjustable gears?

How are you setting TDC on the wheel?
Can you post a picture of the cam card?

Stock timing set with c5r chain
I'm lining up the dots on the gears then puting the piston stop in and rotating it fowards and back getting it to true top dead
Im 98% sure im doing it right. Seems to me like i need to advance it 4 degrees just not sure
Select the appropriate bushing and use trial and error until you get the ICL to match what the cam card specifies along with matching the other noted valve events on the card, IVO, IVC - default to the specific opening and closing event should there be a discrepancy - some lobes do not allow accurate degreeing with the ICL method.
Believe me, we've seen plenty of them like that here at our shop.
