Default Is 112mph low for my mods?

reference this post: https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-racing-tech/158494-why-my-times-so-slow.html

Is it that I am choking it with a stock tb, ls1 intake, and stock catback? I was hoping with my mods that I would have a LOT higher MPH not to mention ET, very dissapointed here
I am happy that I did gain .5 et and 4mph from LT's, but my times still suck ***.

You should definetley be trapping higher than that. I know a guy with a semi-lite 00 Z28 (3500 with him in it) that traps 114 with just long tubes, duals, lid, shifter, and nittos.

This statement here: stock tb, ls1 intake, and stock catback is costing you a lot of power.

LS6 Intake = ~15 RWHP
Cutout = ~ 10 RWHP
Ported TB = ~5-10 RWHP

I agree with the above. On my combo the cutout is worth 15rwhp 17rwtq over my shitty B&B triflow, which is still better than the factory exhaust.... not to mention your reverse split cam REALLY needs a good exhaust to work well.

I agree that an LS6 intake, throttle body, and cutout will help as stated above. I have a 98 Z28 M6 as well without an LS6 intake,throttle body (I still have te stock with screen in place!) and before i took off my cats I was trapping kinda low. I also had 2.2 60 fts. with the cats on when I was trapping around 11mph to 112 mph. I cut the cats and was able to cut my 60's to 2.0. Not so great but my car is setup for trackdays and autocrossing.
Anyway, I can't remember if you have cats or not but surely better 60's and figuring out where to shift the car will help. Good luck, hope this helps.

Gomer, you mentioned something about my exhaust, would the LT's with an ORY to a cutout do the trick or should I do an X?

definatly missing out on some HP there, unless you just cant drive :p j/k. My '98 with headers, cam (TR230/224), magnaflow cat-back and cut-out (open or closed) was trapping at 116mph. We wont talk about 60' or ET's though..... If you can do dual exhaust (x-pipe) than go for it, or just an ORY and cat-back or cut out would work well for you as well

There is definitely something wrong here. I am trapping at 111mph with LT's, catback, TR220, bolts ons, on drag radials.

Whats up with that ET!!!!!! You dont have the trap or ET. Something is wrong. Do you suspension mods? You have LCA's, PHR, relocation brackets, subframes, shocks, springs, drag radials, LS6. With that H/C you should have the potential to run 11s? If you dont have the right suspension you will not get any traction or launch well. You need to put that power to the ground. Im running 12.5s with a small cam and bolt ons. My car still has plenty of potential in it. There shouldnt be anything wrong with your cam you just need to have the right set up.

An Ls6 intake, good tune, and a cutout would go a long way. Your cam and heads cant breathe. Thats the bottom line and you wont go any faster until you upgrade. MPH is a horsepower indicator. You can run crappy times and still have good mph with good HP.

I run an offroad Y to a cutout on my car. That's all you'll need, no reason to spend the extra money on the dual setup, IMO. My setup is good for the numbers in the sig. That cutout was the best $35 I've ever spent on my car.
