Default Decent DD cam?

Can't find any threads on it but I was looking at this cam for a 6.0 Camaro Build, A4 with 3400 stall converter. Its .595/.598 112 LSA 2400 - 7200 RPM Range

In a 6.0 it is borderline for a DD. But that depends on what you're willing to put up with. Probably won't be that bad. Actually, looks like a good upgrade for the 224r cam I have in mine now.

Oh yeah I have a fully upgraded built tranny and a strange 12 bolt rear end with 3.73's in it. Also 243's ported and polished to go with it. And it actually isnt a FULL DD as I have my LS1 Silverado that is my real DD but the camaro will be driven quite a lot.

Since EVERYONE reading this will be more interested in the duration than the lift numbers you did posts it is 232/234 you might go back and put that in your first post since that is a LOT more important than the lift. While at it fix the swapped numbers in you rpm range.
The displacement will likely bring the rpm range down a little BUT then if the heads are good they will bring it back up some, are you happy with looking at needing to shift this that high? Comp does call it "race only" for whatever that is worth.

Since you are in a 6.0, that cam is roughly equal to, or a little larger than my 228/232 cam. I do not DD my Camaro with that cam in it, but if I had to I would not be afraid to do so. My cam is also on 111LSA which is also VERY important when it comes to drive-ability. Like I ahve said in 8901237918273897213897128937 other posts like this before, IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE TUNE. I would DD a T-Rex cam before I would DD my current cam if the T-Rex had a good tune and my current one had a crappy tune.

Corrected the RPM, sorry for not posting the lift numbers and RPM will be tuning it in Delaware. They tuned my LS1 silverado. Thanks for the input as maybe I'll step down to the 224/230 .581/.588. Thanks again

I'd give Martin a call at Tick Performance for a recommendation.

Seems a bit big for a DD to me, but what do I know, my cam is a small 220/224. Idles great, sounds good, and has great driveability.

When I think DD, I think good low end torque, good idle, and good gas mileage. I don't think 232 duration and a 3400 stall. Again, I've never had that combo before, but to me, that's not as good a driveability combo as some others might be. But at the same time, I understand wanting to take advantage of the cubes, 243 heads, and the stall.

That is a great daily driver cam... I put OVER 50,000 miles on a TSP 233/239 without a single problem....other than spinning a bearing, breaking 2 rear ends, 1 set of valve springs, 1 clutch, and a couple sets of tires LOL.

If that cam was on a 114 it'd be good for a daily driver.

Just go to TSP's custom camshaft page and order the XFI intake lobe/XE-R exhaust lobe combo for that on a 114 LSA and 112 ICL. That'd be great in a 6.0L. In fact, it's one of the msot popular grinds on Corvette Forum for LS2 Vettes. There it's called the Spinmonster cam.

Btw, that Comp Cams is what TSP sells as the Torquer 2. Lots of info on that here.

XFI/XE-R would be 230/234 .612"/.598" 114+2

That cam is no where near too big for a 6 liter. I had that cam in my 6.0 camaro with a fast intake and ported 5.3 heads and it peaked at like 6200. Dont fear the tight LSA with a good tuner. It makes more power and peaks lower.
