I'm 45 min up the road from them so no shipping. I'm going to have to give them a call and get some details on one of these bad boys.

He probably means the needed upgrades if you plan on going with boost.

I was just taking a stab at what he might have meant. For instance, if you to to Texas Speed's website and select the short block you want, it gives you various options as far as which pistons you want, what crankshaft, rods, rings, etc. The price listed at the top, at least on Texas Speed's website, for whichever short block you choose does not take into account if you need upgraded pistons, rods, rings, etc. for someone who's planning on running high boost or a big shot of nitrous. I'm sure Livernois has the same options depending on what type of build you're doing.

I just shot them an e-mail looking for some details. I think they might be closed until after the new year.

They do have a similar drop down menu like Texas speed, but starting price $3500. Then you can add coatings and better internals. No shipping, or crate charges is also a big plus. Tax is about half as much.

I don't think my 475rwhp NA street build will require main studs, coate positions etc.. Will it?

What internal upgrades would you need to add?

Why upgrade rings? What's wrong with thOse?

My point is, for your average 500rwhp motor this is enough. Hell almost any NA motor this should be plenty.

I'd goes as far as saying most guys with blowers even turbos looking to make 700 or 800 turned up. This should be fine. Guys do it with stock motors with no issues.

They are fine at that level. Like I said, it just depends on what you want.

On my 408 Ive got file fit rings, coated sideskirts, fully forged, arp bolts, good bearings and I intend to shoot for 550 and most any little thing on the bottom end can pay off in the long run.
