AFR 205's "Maiden Voyage"....
Gentlemen....
Took the car out late this evening after finally finishing the AFR head/cam/and manifold package as seen on our website. All I can say is the car feels extremely strong....I am very pleased. With a little chassis dyno time to fine tune things, this is going to be a great all around package. After 4500 or so, the car wants to RPM like NOW!! The tach is so far behind its almost a joke....I hit my 6800 Rev limiter so bad the first time I flew forward in the seat. It looks like a shift light is in order for the near future because the tachometer must seriously be lagging by 300-400 RPM's....at least in the first two gears when things are really happening quickly.
By the way, this was my first H/C install on a C5 and I must say all went pretty smoothly....It is certainly time consuming if you are very detailed oriented, but not a bad job to tackle if anyone else is on the fence that might be considering it.
Will have it on the chassis dyno shortly....VERY curious as to how much power we gained...(as all of you are as well!)
I will check back in as soon as I have additional info for you...
Regards,
Tony M.
PS All of you that have waited patiently will definately NOT be disappointed.

what are the cam specs?
i can't wait to see what it puts down.
shiftlights are wonderful things. i swear my tach says 5000rpms when i hit the rev limiter in first gear

I would like to see chassis dyno results with head swap ONLY (everything else the same and eg. a TR224 cam) between:
1. Standard LS1 heads
2. AFR heads
3. Stg II TEA or AS heads (or perhaps you could do a reputable non-sponsor)
Tony, this would be a big selling point if your heads really do perform better. and I am sure that a few gaskets arent all that expensive.

I'm really sick of all this teasing. Are the heads for sale yet?!!!!!!
When and where?! Stop messin' with us. Really. I've never seen so much messin' with the consumer before. If they're good, I'll buy them already. Yeesh.

All us retailers have our initial orders in, and expect delivery within a 3-4 weeks. Afterwhich we at HPE will begin our R&D program as I'm sure most everybody else will. I expect some very serious numbers out of them...

Ever see so much hype before an actual install?

Well, what I don't get is why he posts over on CF all the time. Well, actually, it's cuz they are more impressed with peak numbers, and if 't new and expensive, IT MUST BE GOOD.
How about some times? Who really gives a **** about peak numbers, and why did Tony start the post here, but hasn't put any numbers yet?
I really want to like these, but the AFR LT1s are a huge disappointment, and this has the makings of that.
Please Tony dispel everything I have said here, I really want you to!
