With rod bolts and the right intake manifold it should pull to 7k.

I would definatly step up to the LS6 intake or the fast 92. LS1 intake is REALLY going to hold u back above 6K. ALOT!!!!

Do you have valve springs that can handle high rpm? You need to look at your dyno sheet to see where power is dropping off, but I'm guessing it's peaking at 6800 or maybe a bit more.

I doubt that it peaks at 6800.

Guys, please get your facts right. PEAK power is the highest power point in the curve not how far in the rpms can you rev it.

There is some important info missing here to supply a good answer. What are the cam lobes? valvetrain details? heads? But anyways, with a LS1 intake manifold the peak power won't be high by any means, power will drop off very quickly. I'd put money down peak power would be before 6000 rpm.

Other components of the complete engine will determine how high it'll rev. The cam is not the only factor.

Stage 1 ported 317s. Arp every thing(mains, studs, rod and head bolts). Stock rockers with the triniuon upgrade, melling oil pump, 1 3/4 Slp header, manual cutouts, 3 inch exhaust, I have the comp cam 926 spring kit from thunder racing. Let me know if you need anymore info. Sorry if it more than what you asked for

There is not much reason to rev higher than your peak hp. This time I will not wager a guess. You should look at your dyno chart and see when power peaks and decide it your components are up for that rpm. You have decent valve springs and it's good you have upgraded rod bolts. But, what about lifters?

with the LS1 intake and 1 3/4 headers your peak will be around 54-5600. With my old setup ls1 intake and 1 3/4 headers and a bigger cam, and much better heads I had to shift at 61-6200 or it layed down HARD.
Get a single plane on there or a pro-flo

They are gator or gator man lifters the are the engine builders upgrade from stock ls1 lifters or equilvent to the comp cam lifters. 5600 just seems low but it looks like I need to put it on a dyno to be sure

well as said above, my setup
12.9 compression 243 heads ported
stock shortblock 346
EPS 238/246 111+3
LS1 intake, E85 fuel
1 3/4 BBK headers and a 3" borla
shift at 6000 or so, 120mph
shift at 6200 or so, 120mph
shift at 6600 or so, 118mph

You can literally FEEL that car stop over 6k. I swapped to a super victor with the same cam and expect to shift at 7500 with a 378"

The pre-'01 LS1 intake simply won't let the motor rev, no matter what cam is in there. You can have the best set of heads in the world, the best cam and the motor still won't rev high with that intake.
