Yup. 58cc to account for the 1cc flycuts. 11.8:1 CR. Should make power.

Btw, finally was able to talk to Lindy today. Apparently my previous order vanished. So I ordered again. Let's hope it arrives this time.

That's some crazy luck. Seems "Murphy" is alive and well in your neck of the woods.

I'll keep that 58cc in the back of my mind...

The only reason I decided to go with that much compression is the BeCool radiator. When I do the 402 next year or whenever, I'm going for 12.5:1...

Just wondering, how much are you flycutting to take out a full cc? I drew mine up in solidworks to see how much volume I was losing, and with .060 on both sides (2.120 and 1.675 cutters) I was only taking out a total of 0.15cc. And that actually didn't account for the slight chamfer, so technically it is slightly under .15 cc.

If you want I can post up the drawing. Just figured I'd put my .02 in before you have to start buying stock in VP.

I had someone work it up in 3DSMax before. .110" flycut with a 2.12" cutter and a 1.675 like you was 1.5cc. I'll be doing .080" and .060".

Also, I figure Diamond uses similar size valve reliefs in their flat tops. And their 2cc reliefs are cut to a depth of .165" intake and .110" exhaust. I'm about half depth on both accounts. It's bro-science at its best!

Real question is are you going to go crazy on this build like Rezin or CkPitt?

Those guys put in serious time on their builds!

Exactly what I was thinking.. CkPitt has taken insane amounts of time on his build.. I wish I was able to do that and actually know what to do, BUT with 3 kids I dont have any time left to try to learn

I only have 1 and time is already stretched thin, with 2 and 3, I don't know how you have time to get anything outside of work done!

Whigham, you got 5 kids?!?! Dude, nothing working with that at all but you know how you get an image of who people are? Well, I imagined you were about my age (27).. If you got a kid in college, that would mean you were a heavy hitter by the age of 9! Lol.. On a serious note, my wife and I had our first kid 4 months ago, a little girl. Nothing like it..

Lmao!! I'm actually the ripe ole age of 30!

Anyway, I'm absolutely WAIST DEEP in Coors Light right now and STILL have the wherewithal to know I need to get off here before I get belligerent, lol. And dude, I'll always picture you as your avatar pic,

And congrats to you and yours brother! Kids are an absolute blessing... Relish every moment. I've just sent my second to last to her first day of Kidnergarden. Tears, yes, of course, lol.

Followed PROMPTLY by a toast with the wife!!!

I'm 30 as well. I have a nearly 5 year old and a 2-1/2 year old. Both girls. They like to come out and ask me what I'm doing.

Yep, I feel you, 1 near 4 year old here, and I get the same when I work in the garage. Time is the asset I'm shortest on.

Dude, am I missing something? I'm waist deep in Natural Light and your 30 but got one in college??

As far as the avatar goes, probably my favorite movie of all time. And since I'm landlocked on 160 acres with 2 family members, it just all makes sense out here in the boonies of East TN.
