Finally pulling the trigger on parts!
Although, I'm now considering getting a cherry picker and pulling the motor and trans as one unit so I can easily work on both of them. I think that's probably the easiest and smartest thing to do. Only a few electrical connectors on the trans and the motor mounts hold it now... Problem is, I might get an itch and pull the trigger on a Level 6 FLT Trans and then build up the motor with a set of Wiseco Pistons, Compstar Rods, and new bearings and ARP Main Studs. I just don't trust anyone around here to do the machine work. And I don't really want to spend $3k+ for a forged 346 when I can spend $2k if I build it myself...
Got everything off the motor and the exhaust off today.

Crappy stock Y-Pipe...

I'm running a catch can. I wonder if I should upgrade. Looks like I could kill a good bit of shitty hoses under the hood if I went with the 04... what's another $100.

Either way, $110 for piece of mind that gunked up oil won't be robbing HP is a low price to pay imo.
