Great... UPS might have lost my PCM when I shipped it out last Wednesday. No updates on their system that it ever made it to them.

I went to the UPS store where I shipped it they claimed they were having computer troubles. But Geoff hasn't received it yet and it was supposed to arrive on Friday.

UGH

If they did lose it i will make a claim to get the cash for a new one. Problem is, where in the hell am I going to get an 02 PCM?

Well, just looked on eBay. Looks like I can get an 02 programmed to my VIN. Joy. Unspeakable.

Yup.

Still sucks. I'd much rather have the PCM that came with the car than some salvage crap from eBay.

In other news, I might have my wife outright murder me.

I'm looking at a TMS Forged 370 and an FLT Level 6 4L60E.

Both would be ready to go and could be shipped in the next day or two.

Decisions.

Kyle's a good guy!

May need a bigger cam if you did a 370.

Oh, and what would that short block go for?

I think I really want to try a LS3 headed LS6 383.

We would then be in the same boat, my wife would be ready to wring out my neck!

The 234/242 111+3 would be right at home in the 370.

I know, just giving you a hard time. It'd actually be real nice for the 370.

Why not order a replacement PCM from Geoff?

I did that a couple years ago when I received one of his mail order tunes. Didn't want any down time and asked if it was possible to order the tune and a replacement PCM from him, which turns out wasn't a problem.

Just an idea

The UPS store is full of idiots here. I thought about doing priority USPS, but I was like nah, they'll package it up real nice (and it'll be insured!).

Lesson learned.

Me too. Was about to pull the trigger for Geoff to get me another PCM. But I'd rather just use mine. No extra hoops to jump through, and I know it's good.

How long before you regret it and wish you'd gone with an 80e?

The better question might be... "How much longer do you estimate you'll be alive and not buried in some desert that only your wife knows about?"

Anxious to see how everything works out for you. I was curious to see if you'd be able to hit the 500RWHP mark on the stock cubic inch... still thinking about the 370?

80E is overkill for 500rwhp.

and more like a swamp with my wife

And yes, 370 still on my mind...

Care to make a wager on how long you stay happy with 500RWHP? lol. That's why I asked how long it'll be before you wished you had gone with an 80E. Then again I'm crazy and go through different setups almost every year. Explains why my FLT Level 4 was sold before owning it for more than one year.

At least now when you do come up missing, the police can likely reference this thread and start searching swamps. Glad this site could help make it possible for you to actually be present at your funeral. lol

Anyways, I'm excited to see your final numbers. Is the 370 you're looking into brand new? That cam would probably be super street friendly in a 370. Either way, should be fun!

It would be new. I'm hoping I can find a similar situation to the FLT. It was refreshed and at FLT but I bought it off a forum member. Saved a lot and get a refreshed/essentially new trans.

Also, isn't the 80E some 200lbs heavier? It'd make the 10.60 a little tougher to get w/ 500 wheel.

It's about 40-50lbs. But the first gear is much shallower - so better for consistent ET/traction.
