Default 228 cam which spring? .600 or .650

Im looking at the 228r cam it has a lift of .588.
Texas speed has a cam kit with prc.650 (1518) springs on sale for $609 + shipping.

Speed inc has a cam kit on sale also with pac.600 springs for $544 free ship

Was woundering which spring will be better, I feel the .600 spring will be cutting it close. the car will just be a street car, with trips to new York, and Arkansas acouple times a year.
Im leaning towards tsp package cause it seems most people on this board really recommend and like there stuff. But that is a big price difference.
Im not a cheep skate. lol I know horsepower and quality parts are not cheep. So it really come down to the spring between these two packages.
Thanks

The .650 is too much spring for that cam. It's over kill....

I have the PSI's, good for a .620,
my cam 230/236 .600 .600

I like the PAC 1518s myself but the 1218s will be more than adequate for that cam.

I'm useing the eps cam in sig with psi 1511ml springs. I think the card said max lift was .625. I've got about 12k on them and they are working just fine.

Cam lift is .598 .600

running that cam with pac 1218 springs daily and repeated 6700rpm shifts..not a single issue.if for whatever reason you think you will change to a wilder cam later on then just put the best spring you can right now.otherwise i wouldnt worry about it,that cam isnt super aggressive and the 1218's are more than capable to handle it.

Imo, PAC 1211X. XER lobes are still aggressive.
