looking to replace my worn out ls1 thinking about going the cheaper route and build what i got. has only one on here build a ls1 427

You will to have resleeve the ls1 block. You could do a 383 though. For a daily driver I would concider the 383. You can easily attain 500rwhp and still get good longevity out of the build.

Have ERL or RED resleeve the LS1 and then you can build a 427.

you could buy a brand new block of your choosing for the price it'd take to resleeve / machine the ls1 to make it 427 cubes. i'd go 383, more practical imo

If you have the money or means then go for it. I know a guy who resleeved an aluminum 5.3l to make a 440.

I found a company on ebay that build them and can be purchased as a shortblock for like $3800 i dont recall the name of the shop. But i just went with a Thompson motorsports 370CI that was VERY affordable!

Resleeving your LS1 is definately not cheap! Stroking it to a 383 would be cheaper, but maybe going with a 6.0 iron block would be better all around. You'd gain cu. in. alot cheaper and could go bigger in the future! Just a thought!!
