I called them three times, all three times they told me 70 lb-ft with the ARP Moly lube. I would do 3 steps, 30-50-70.

NO!!! Thats for ARP main studs, not head studs.

Heres the procedure I used for my head studs...

1) Put moly lube on both ends of the studs
2) Thread the studs in hand-tight plus a small amount, like 10 degrees or so, snug
3) Put on the head gaskets the correct way, dont block the water passages
4) Put on head
5) Put on all of the washers with moly lube on both sides
6) Put on the nuts with moly lube on the bottom face
7) Tighten all the nuts to hand tight
8) Follow torque sequence and torque 1-10 to 30 ft-lbs. Do this three times as they will all loosen up as the head gasket compresses
9) Then torque to 50 ft-lbs, do this twice
10) Then torque to 70 ft-lbs
11) Torque 11-15 to 25 ft-lbs
12) Wait at least an hour(the longer the better) and go back and torque them all down again

Of course make sure the holes are clean and coolant free. Use the torque sequence below.

This thread is like 6.5 years old. I think ARP now says 80 ft-lbs for the studs.

ARP changes their torque specs from time to time. Figure out what part number you have and go to the ARP website. They have a spec page for each. I have bolts, not studs, but a couple years ago the final specs for the big bolts were 70 ft/lbs and for the small bolts were 22 ft/lbs. Now it's 75 and 25.

That's where mine are. 75/25 in 1/3 increments.
