help, broken valvespring=bent valve anyone done this? driving hard when valvespring broke. pulled head off and piston was hit on top right from center of piston to 1/4 inch from edge of piston. didnt see any cracks. bent a valve.
Yes, definitely replace all springs... I broke one and the retainer caught it. I didn't have the money or time to replace all of them so I just replaced the one. A few weeks later I broke another one, retainer broke as well and bent the valve all to hell. Lesson learned... the hard way.

Verdad Gallardo Todd, if there seems to be no physical damage such as cracks or anything, I'd put her back together. I would reccomend changing the springs, preferabally a good set of duals. That would help from this ever happening again. You can always do a leak down when you get it back together to make sure.
