Default custom built LS1/LS6

Saving cash for a total engine swap....would like some opinions..

Golen Engines custom built LS1,
Texas Speed custom built LS1,
or CMB LS6?

Golen seems to be on the same level as Texas Speed as far as quality.
CMB ive never heard of but they are offering a pretty attractive package. Anyone heard of CMB? or any other recommendations as far as a custom crate goes?

Are you totally locked into a LS1?

If you don't mind a little extra weight, an iron block forged and stroked 408 is probably cheaper and will have lots more power.

I think Texas Speed has a sale on the iron 408.

HKE is the way to go, and it's not really not even close in my opinion.

I'd let Futral and Vengeance/ProLine touch the engine. But that's about it.

I'd stay far away from Golen.

I know of CBM (Custom Built Motors). Chris tuned my car. They have some good stuff.

just a higher hp street/daily driver. not wanting to do the track anymore. (translated: wife says no) texas speed offered a 490hp 5.7 on a quote, just have to throw on my own intake,tb and fuel rails.
definitely going with ls6 or FAST for the intake. my ls1 tb (80 mm with spacer) should mount on the ls6 if i'm not mistaken. hopefully i won't have to go too much bigger. those 90mm tb's are pricey.
