So for I have 232/240 .595/.609 on a 112 LSA with the X-ER ramps. Is there any advance ground into the cam?

Rageman went 11.5's with bolt-ons and 11.1's with the cam. Yes those are good numbers but when you post information like that ...especially in this case it is very important to include raceweight...otherwise your claims are very misleading. Kind of like saying it made 454rwhp when the last 4rwhp came from a spike, it actually made 450rwhp which is still very good. Not trying to be a jerk about it but I think it's only fair, you also loose credibility by inflating your claims like that.

With cam specs like that aren't you worried about PV clearance? I would recommend flycutting those pistons! Sure the spring pressures are high when the springs are new but when it starts to loose spring pressure after a few thousand miles some bad things can happen.

so does this cam require fly cutting the pistons?

How is the streetability of this cam? How's the idle? Could you pass emissions with this cam?

Lou, I'm thinking bout my purchasing your cam, I really like the 350+ ft lbs tq on the stock heads!
That would be perfect for my A4 project. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

11.1 @ 124 would suit me just fine.

The run was video taped, and you will see that the car is not lightened. Every engine builder has to think about valve to piston clearance with any cam if you mill off too much. Rageman's eigine has stock heads that have never been off. One of the important things is to use good springs so they don't give up on you as soon.

We are getting into some pretty high performance here, and more power takes more maintainence. If a guy wants an executive package, then he should get a smaller package.

Thanks,

Lou G LG Motorsports

Near future,

No flycutting on stock heads. As for the passing emmisions, probably not.
Anything other than a stock combo, needs to be measured, and given whatever it needs. As the valve size goes up, the v/p goes down.

We just finished an A4 car with our full G5X-2 cam and head package and it pulled 435rwhp, 403rwtq. We expect 10's with this car. It ran 11.06 in the middle of the summer with our G5 cam in it.

thanks

before i say this i am by no means bashing anyone, lets face it alans car is an animal. however his car is a stripper: no power windows, no power locks, etc. he also had no back seat, no power stearing, and no front bumper supports. like i said his car is still a beast, not to mention he can drive his *** off.

Yes that is correct, but he went from 11.5s to 11.1s and from 117mph to 124mph.
The track is still like a dyno. The only thing that changed was the cam and tuning. The "Beast" stayed the same. That would make it close to a before and after.

I wanna ask again,

Lou I had a question a few months back if a 232/238 595 605 on a 112 would fit in a stock short block and you said no, so yours seems bigger and it fits, what am I missing here..

are these the drop in dual springs?

what do you folks think about a 20 mph (2000 rpm) dyno emissions test?

Sorry about asking again, but last time I asked, the thread was deleted before I saw a reply.

fact? rage went 11.5 w/boltons

How much PV clearance do you have with stock heads? I have 2.02 and 1.55 valves, stock 5.7 heads milled .005 (Cleanup only) Would I have enough clearance? I know I would need to check, but should I have enough clearance? Thanks, Shawn

Lou,
I, as well as NataSS, are very interested in this cam. Since we're involved in ORR ( SSCC ), lapping days, etc I'm concerned about valvetrain issues. Are the lobe profiles too aggressive, in your opinion, for this application ? Would this cam cause me any durability issues running at 5500-6000+ rpm for 35 minutes straight ? Would another cam, in your opinion, be a better choice ?

Thanks
