Now that the secret is out.......
With cam specs like that aren't you worried about PV clearance? I would recommend flycutting those pistons! Sure the spring pressures are high when the springs are new but when it starts to loose spring pressure after a few thousand miles some bad things can happen.
How is the streetability of this cam? How's the idle? Could you pass emissions with this cam?
Lou, I'm thinking bout my purchasing your cam, I really like the 350+ ft lbs tq on the stock heads!
That would be perfect for my A4 project. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
11.1 @ 124 would suit me just fine.
We are getting into some pretty high performance here, and more power takes more maintainence. If a guy wants an executive package, then he should get a smaller package.
Thanks,
Lou G LG Motorsports
No flycutting on stock heads. As for the passing emmisions, probably not.
Anything other than a stock combo, needs to be measured, and given whatever it needs. As the valve size goes up, the v/p goes down.
We just finished an A4 car with our full G5X-2 cam and head package and it pulled 435rwhp, 403rwtq. We expect 10's with this car. It ran 11.06 in the middle of the summer with our G5 cam in it.
thanks
<strong> Obsssed,
With all due respect, Can I at least keep that part secret?
Thanks

The track is still like a dyno. The only thing that changed was the cam and tuning. The "Beast" stayed the same. That would make it close to a before and after.

You could prolly answer my question better than anyone else, would the G5X2 work with what i want to do with my car?
Here's my most recent post that hasnt got any replies yet https://ls1tech.com/ubb/ultimatebb.p...c;f=1;t=011599
I look foward to your reply,
thanks, rich
Lou I had a question a few months back if a 232/238 595 605 on a 112 would fit in a stock short block and you said no, so yours seems bigger and it fits, what am I missing here..
Matt
what do you folks think about a 20 mph (2000 rpm) dyno emissions test?
Sorry about asking again, but last time I asked, the thread was deleted before I saw a reply.
FACT- rage went 11.1x@12x with the cam
fact? rage went 11.5 w/boltons
to imply that this is a cam only car w/tuning and true duals and an M6. that runs 11.1s is impresive. is this the extent of the mods? inquring minds want to know.

I, as well as NataSS, are very interested in this cam. Since we're involved in ORR ( SSCC ), lapping days, etc I'm concerned about valvetrain issues. Are the lobe profiles too aggressive, in your opinion, for this application ? Would this cam cause me any durability issues running at 5500-6000+ rpm for 35 minutes straight ? Would another cam, in your opinion, be a better choice ?
Thanks

All of alan's times are legit and I have the majority of them on tape or can find someone who was at the track that day to provide the footage. As for his mods, he posted them last week in his thread that got locked about the cam...this thing is the real deal!
<strong> Spanky,
Take your number one intake valve spring off with the piston at TDC, and tell me how much valve drop you have before the valve hits the piston. Then I can tell you if you have enough clearance with your current set up.
After you do this, give me a call, and we can figure it out.

My car is in storage, can't measure this right now. In your opinion, would it work? Heads have only been milled .005, and valves are 2.02 and 1.55.
