What are the specs on the LG G5X2 cam? I keep seeing people referring to it now that the specs are out, but haven't seen the specs anywhere. What are they?

even the specs that are out (the ones Lou gives w/ the cam purchase now) are not enough to go grind your own cam. the ones that where "obtained" from an unautherised source by folks @ T/R havent been posted yet as far as i know.

TR did nothing of the sort. They have their own cams that produce good #'s and they do their OWN R&D work. The last thing they need to do is worry about 1 cam that Lou is producing. Hell maybe Lou stole the specs from Thunder, who knows.

The specs were e-mailed to Jason99T/A, who happens to work for us, but it is my understanding that they were e-mailed to him asking his advice as a respected member of this board. Jason has no desire to harm any other member of this board by divulging that source.

It just so happens that I gave T.Burger the G5 cam specs who let the cat out of the bag last time. Funny thing is I just asked someone that worked at LG and they told me!!!!

Oh and by the way, ......................

Rageman just did an 11.18 @ 124 tonight, with his G5X-2 cam only, with Stock heads and he says he is not even started!!!

And the first G5X-2 LS1 head and cam package just left here. It came out 455rwhp 420rwtq <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> And he is coming back for final tuning. Still more in there!

I guess we are more happy than sad.

For what it's worth, no matter what the power, I wouldn't put a cam in my car without knowing the specs. Nice to see that some people have such blind faith... not me.

That cool... i ordered a custom cam from LG XE-R 232/230 114 maybe i will be lucky enough to hit some 10s with ported heads since the cam only car got bottom 11s! WOOT!!!

I would also like to know the lift, not only for piston/valve clearance, but for buying springs, and considering the future and drivability of the car.

No way in hell I would just slap a cam in without knowing the basic specs.

Good job Lou, but anyone who knows a machine shop can get the specs so why worry so much about it?

It honestly makes me not want it because of that.

Again, no harmful meanings here, just honesty.
