I wouldn't buy any of those cams without first see photos of the cam card and and at least the front end of the cam with the identifying markings.

You get what you pay for. If it's cheap, then it's cheap for a reason. Think about it, you own a brand new $400 cam and sell it for $150. What would be your incentive? Something's probably wrong and they can't get rid of it because nobody wants it. Just my .02. I'd be very weary about stuff like this.

With that said, I think 800 for a cam only installation is just about right on.

I went cheap on a cam once. It cost me my engine. The lobes started coming apart like cottage cheese and ruined my engine.

^^^I was just going to say that. I built a GTO for a friend of mine, told him where to buy the parts from and all. He showed up with a cam that he "Got a great deal on" It was like a $179 regrind.. The car got maybe 700 miles on it and had to be completely torn down. Lobes started falling apart and took out a couple lifters.
