Default Rapid Motorsports Stage 2 Heads and Cam

http://www.rapidmotorsports.com/stage2heads.jpg
443rwhp/406rwtq

Rapid Package
Rapid Stage II LS1 (#241 casting) Heads
Rapid Custom Grind Cam
Ported LS6 Intake
Ram VDS 910
SVO 30lb injectors
SLP 160 Thermostat
ARE Ported TB
QTP long tube headers
Rapid Custom Y pipe
Cut-out
Stock Pulley
LS1 Edit tuning by Mikey
Pro 5.0 with Lou's Short Stick
3.42 gears with TA cover

The actual number is impressive yes, but the fact that I gained 110rwhp is what is the most awesome! Also notice that my peak power is at 6350 not 6600 like others packages. Very friendly to the weak LS1 bottom end.

Flow numbers:
0.100 72
0.200 140
0.300 219
0.400 257
0.500 293
0.600 308

All dyno pulls were at Performance Specialties and previously dynoed 334/347 with boltons. They are roughly 10 rwhp/8rwtq off.

If you need any details on the package, contact Mikey @ 610-404-7979

Why did you change out the 4.10s and put in 3.42s? I'd like to see an accurate comparison with the same gearing.

I had them put in for an accurate comparion.Everyone else dynoes new setups with 3.42's. Then I can compare my setup with others without wondering what the loss of the 4.10's were.3.42's were used in baseline pulls

Chris thanks for the nice comments.I am happy with the A/F and the curve. The high peak numbers is also good.I am going to redyno at another shop.P.S. was 10hp/10tq down from my previous pulls on another dyno. Other people also get lower readings there as well.Mikey has had cars dyno between 390 and 414 at that shop. These packages have been from various shops and companies.Something is screwy with that dyno. This has been the highest h/c car to get dynoed from his shop. I am happy. Mikey has been a great help to me.His service and quality is top notch to say the least. It should be a great racing season for me and Mikey. When I get track numbers I bet this setup will sell like hot cakes. No dyno tricks were used and these numbers went through a D/D exhaust through a cutout.

Hey Guys! I was impressed with Bretts package to say the least.

Don't get hung up on the numbers. Look at the gains on the same dyno. That way if any dyno is off high or low, the gains seen on the same dyno discount the differences. Comparing dyno number has become a hobby for some on these forums. I could care less about the number but I do look at the gains.

What was most impressive is that he gained +110rwhp from a head / cam and header package. I am going to try a UD pulley Monday and some more tuning. I would like to see 450 but who knows.

Also remember, this is an LS1 head. Not and LS6 head or 5.3 head. And the peak power is at 6350 not 6600 or above.

Now he needs a 12 bolt before he even thinks about track time <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Mikey

I gotta agree, look at the overall results.
IMPRESSIVE to say the least!!!!!

The TQ is also very good down low and I Iove the short peak at 6350,U wont need to shift this setup higher than 6500 for it to shine.

Looks great Mikey

Like Mikey said he is going to do alittle more tuning and add a few things. Gonna take out my A/C for weight.I used it once and that was when I bought it to see if it worked.Im picking up a set of ET Streets and things should be rolling along good.

Very nice results.

I think it's <img border="0" alt="[rainbow]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_rainbow.gif" /> to change gear ratios back to 3.42's just for dyno numbers. Are you worried about being cool on the net or going fast. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
