It's set at 850 rpm's and yes it was well over a 1,000 cause it was a cold start up..

On average you can add 5-10% to convert MD numbers to a Dyno Jet, but I say take it to the track and beat the SNOT out of it!

P.S. Arturo,

It looks like the power would of continued to carry well past 6500rpm. I would start shifting it at the track there(6500rpm) and then go up to 6700, and even 6900rpm to see what it does to the MPH.

Nate,

We normally see 5-10rwhp for a SD tune over a MAF tune.
Thanks Martin, Very happy with the setup you gave me and as soon as I get a after market drive shaft I'll be heading to the track to hit some HARD *** launches.. I got on it today pretty hard and all I can say is HOLY ****! Pulls hard as hell! btw thanks for everything Martin

Sounds good! Have you tried going to 6700-6800 yet? Im hoping to get my car back today from the tuner but I wont be able to get dyno numbers for another month.

Tury,

Since your car is an 02 you have the newer, "stronger" rod bolts. I wouldn't be afraid of 6900rpm-7000rpm in the least bit.

With this cam and this set-up P to V is no issue what so ever.

Sounds great Arturo!!! Now get me some track times and dyno numbers!!!

Nice! I will be giving you folks a call soon

Awesome #'s OP, specially for a 9"

I'm glad your so happy with it Tury. I'm going to hound you until you put that drive shaft on it and take it to the track! You don't have a 9" and 4.11's for nothing!!!

I'd be willing to guarantee that with a set of 28x10.50" slicks, a 6000rpm launch off the two step and a great clutch release that a 1.40-1.45 60' can be had and with that 60' a 10.80-10.90@124-125 can be achieved.

Sounds really good turyg!!!, Hey martin, do you think my numbers would be around the same, I have about his same mods but I have ported 799's and he listed his cam with less degrees in the exhaust side, is that because of the grind??? Also how big of a difference is going from 239 to 242 lobe duration in the exhaust. (powerwise)???

If you get the car back today, why not head out to KC2k13 this Friday and Saturday? Justune is going to have his dyno there; $50.00 for 3 pulls. Since you're in KC already, you should head down there.

Damn that's what I'm talking about! Lol I have some 26x10.5 with like 80% left in them but I'm going go ahead and sell them to get the 28x10.5. What kind of tire should I buy?

Thanks and you must have the ls1 camshaft stage 3 right?

He has the LS2 Stage 3 TorqueMAX cam. There is more to the differences between the LS2 and LS1 Stage 3 than just the exhaust duration change. The LS1 Stg. 3 you have, has an exhaust valve opening event of 54.5 degrees before bottom dead center. The LS2 Stg. 3 has an EVO event of 53.5 degrees before bottom dead center. The LS2 Stg. 3 has an intake valve close event of 47.5 degrees after bottom dead center where as your LS1 has an IVC event of 46.5 degrees ABDC. The LS2 also has less overlap of 13 than your LS1 has which is 17.

What does this do you ask? Your cam will make for a slightly broader power curve than the LS2 from the added overlap. Your cam also closes the intake valve sooner which will make for more torque under the curve, but not carry it quite as far as the LS2 with it's later event. The LS2 has a later EVO event which will build more bottom end torque and peak torque, but not carry torque quite as far into the RPM range as the LS1's earlier EVO event.

So as you can see they both have their pro's and con's, but if you notice their pro's and con's compliment one another. I didn't just spec these cams ***** nilly, I had a systematic approach. I wanted them to all fill a certain void and not have two cams that perform so close to one another that there is no point in having two separate camshaft profiles.

Justin is a good tuner too. I'd do that for sure Ross.

I would go with a Mickey Thompson 28x10.50" ET Street Bias Ply stiff sidewall slick. With tubes preferably.

Id like to put it on the dyno, but I assume there will be tons of people trying to get their car dyno'd and I dont know if its worth the wait. Are you planning on going to KC2k13?

I actually had Ryan Mitchell (MaxxMitchell on the fourm) do a street tune on the car for now. It pulls hard but on the 100shot it really moves! Ill try to get some better videos up soon.
