Advanced Inductions 226cc w/ TV2 Cam Build(Dyno Added)
Finally got all the parts together to start the head swap on my 2002 M6 Trans Am. I picked up a set of brand new Advanced Inductions 226cc heads from a member on here(Thank you for an awesome deal!). The heads are spec'd out as follows:
AI 226cc (243 casting)
63cc chambers
PSI 1511 springs with titanium retainers
.040 Cometic head gaskets
Compression= 11.1:1 Static & 8.3:1 Dynamic
The install will be next Sunday followed by a dyno tune on Monday. Based on previous builds I am hoping for a solid 60whp given the bump in compression and new found flow.
Below is the following parts being installed with the heads:
Cometic .040 head gaskets
FAST 36lb injectors
LS2 lifter trays
LS7 lifters
New valve cover gaskets
And of course all new fluids
Current Mods to date that netted 420whp and 390tq

Stock ls6 intake

TSP 1 3/4 LT's
TSP 3" ORY
SLP Power-flo exhaust

Sounds like a great build. One question for you; are the heads stamped 63cc anywhere? I know you said they are milled down to 63cc, so wasn't sure if AI stamped them. I've got the AI Dart/RHS CNC'd heads, milled down to 60.5cc, but they were not stamped. I verified with AI that they were milled to my desired specs and they told me they were. Just curious if yours got marked.

Looks nice! Interested in how it runs! Are you planning any track outings? It is similar to my build, and was interested in what kind of E.T.s it put down. Its going to be a while til I get to the track myself.

I've seen heads that have been milled "stamped", which is just a very small number that's been indented into the heads. Say you had them milled from 67cc down to 63cc, there would be a "63cc" stamped onto the deck of the heads; very small and around one of the corners. I was just curious because my heads were not stamped and there was nothing marked on the indicating the cc size.

Results are in!!!
Ended up making 443.9rwhp and 408.8rwtq. Not the big numbers I was expecting, but happy nonetheless. I just do find it odd that I only picked up 23hp from the heads... We played with both AFR and timing to see what it liked best, and we settled with 29* from 5500rpm on up along with 12.8AFR.
What impressed me the most was how much smoother the graph is now. Seems like the added quench and flow really helped that out. Attached is the graph that compares my bolt-on, cam only, and now heads/cam pulls. AFR graphs also attached. Again, this is with the stock ls6 intake so I imagine I could get close to 460rwhp with a FAST92 set up.
Anyone think the "smallish" cam is holding me back?
