I have a 98 camaro auto trans 3:73 gear is what im looking to install. Its a stock bottom end lq9 other than arp bolts with milled ported and polished 243 heads. I have long tubes off rd y pipe. Needing a stall also not sure what would be a good size or brand car is a daily driver also. Any other mods would be helpful thanks ace

I consider looking into getting a higher stall TC before getting a cam. The stall size will be somewhat depend on the cam size. What rpm range do you want the most power in, do you want a smooth or lumpy ide?

Gm asa cam? It has a low lift so your valvesprings will last forever if you get a good set...or if you want to go bigger than that maybe a 228/234 <.600 lift (for valvespring life) and a 110-111 lsa with a 3, 600 stall

Well two things to remember...a larger cam will behave a little better in that LQ9 compared to a LS1, and a great tune will make a huge difference as well! I am about to do a LQ9 myself here, but i'll be running my PRC 5.3 heads on a 6-speed with 4.10's, but am getting a cam in the mid 240's duration...not worried about low end power issues or drivability. Do you know what your compression is at? That makes a difference as well
