True that's what I've been seeing
Luck of the draw type thing lol
I've heard the same with thicker wall with 5/16... But I look at it like this if I'm spending $$ anyways mightiest well get the 3/8 .. If I have to drill a little ..that's piece of cake ..
I will post pics when I get the rods

i agree with OD gets you stiffness no ID or wall thickness
Yes ive seen that also .. and power is carried along abit longer and doesnt drop of like the 5/16th
i seen a comparison with 11/32 to the 5/16 and there was a marginal gain but again power didnt drop off and smoothed out in the higher rpm
i dont know the big technical words but you get the idea....
would the improvements be different Straight vs Double Taper
i was going to order 7.425 length im going to run a Spec cam using EPS Lobes
..but im thinking of waiting to get the cam then measure pushrod length .. atleast thats what my gut says lol ..

As for straight vs. double taper, there are two advantages to double taper. First, it allows a stiffer pushrod where the large straight OD won't fit. Second, the harmonics and bend shape is different than a straight pushrod.

Yes, I have more info if interested. I found the same, the power carried better with about a 6 hp increase. The difference was the curve shape in that it was smoother and carried better.

According to Comp there .105" wall 5/16 pushrod is 17% stiffer than the .080 wall .
