Default 408 stroker 6.0L iron block, share your knowledge!

Ok found a good deal on a 6.0l iron block that has just been bored out for a 408 stroker. Just want to make sure everything from my 99 ls1 will interchange as far as accessories and the harness and sensors.
Casting number on the block is 12577184 is it a lq4 or lq9?
The casting number on the front of the pass head is D065
manufactured April 6th, 2005 according to that i believe.
So it comes with a k1 4in crank too so it should be 24x to work with my 99 harness?
Anything i should know about the swap?
Thanks

everything should bolt right up...the only thing is you have to drill one hole for the alternator bracket

Gen III 6.0L Iron Block. LQ-4 and LQ-9

This is all I could find so it seems the block is the same. To my knowledge they used the same block but the heads and pistons made the difference in power/compression.

This link might help you during your build.

The location of the knock sensors and cam position sensor may be different if its a Gen IV block, head bolts too.

Looks like the knock sensors are in the same spot in the valley. Also, I have the truck 145 amp alternator, does that change anything? Thanks for the info guys. Any clearancing I should be aware of before I start the build?

with a 4" stroke you should only have to clearance the windage tray and the F-body oil pan.

Obviously still check everything to be sure.

Everything should bolt up fine, have to drill a hole for the alternator. Everything on the back will bolt up the same. Internally your gonna have to clearance the windage( i just used a bunch of nuts) and you may have to clearance the oil pan (i did). I would also check the pickup tube and make sure its not too close to the bottom of the pan. Here's a link to my build thread if you want to read what i did: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...-pressure.html

I've been watching alot of these 408 builds, and quite honestly I'm not impressed. My H/C ls2 put down 454/425 with room to grow on a dyno jet. I'm looking for 480+ with this new h/c 6.0 build . Anyone have any opinions in why we so so many lackluster results?
