With the Stage 2 cam, stock sized valves and a stock head gasket you can mill .015" off the heads. You could also run a .040" gasket if you wished.

LS1 correct?

Oh ok thanks. And yes it is a ls1 off a 98 trans am. I might go to the scales to weigh my truck just to see how much it really weighs because 5000 pounds sounds alot to me.

It does sound like a lot of weight.

I'm betting it's closer to 4200-4300.

I had a 95 Dodge Ram that was about 4280. Trucks and cars have gotten heavier as safety regulations have gotten more stringent.
