Summit Trunnion Upgrade Kit
Just put together a set of rockers with the Summit kit. It's $99 and has USA made bearings and heavy duty snap rings. Quality looks good to me. If you don't want to buy the install kit you can use 4 16mm washers and a vice to assemble to rockers. Did them all in about 30 mins.
I finally decided to sell my YT rockers and run the upgraded stockers. With the BTR Platinum Springs and 11/32 pushrods I hope that this will be a solid setup and break 500hp.

I've seen a few right ups on these did you experience any unique issues? From what I have read they seem like u-joints only on a much smaller scale. I only ask because I will be doing them within the next month

The trunions are essentially half a U-Joint. The key thing on these versus the stockers is the snap rings to keep the end caps in place. The point of failure for the stockers is generally that the pressed on caps work loose over time and fall off spilling needle bearings into the motor. The Summitt Racing units seem to be heavier construction than the ones made by Comp Cams. This plus a much lower price makes them my pick for the upgrade.

I just did the Comp kit last week for my turbo engine. .6 lift, iron guides (799 heads)
I scored this baby arbor press at work a while back, perfect use for it. Isn't it cute?
I actually like the stock bolts. The Comp kit didn't have bolts either. But even with the YT's on my C5, I used the stock bolts.

Really? My comp cam kit came with new Allen head rocker bolts... That's a neat press too
I used a 6" c clamp for the bearing press, worked perfect and you can actually feel the bearing goin on straight vs a press that if it goes on slightly crooked its too late because you pressed and forced it on..
I think that's half the reason why comp cams trunion kits were getting a bad name.. Installation error!
