so excuse my ignorance, but did u say to that you got much better gains on the exhaust ports and to leave the intake ports be for the most part, also what is the hole in the intake ports? is that ok? or not really... thanks in advance

The hole in the intake ports is wher the rocker bolt goes just seal it and its fine...

What were the flow numbers on the 2.02/1.57s? 243 heads? I'm getting my 243s worked on but don't know what size ext valve to go with... 1.57 or 1.6? My cam is 238/242 .595 112.... any advice would be appreciated.

Im also interested in the flow numbers with those valves.

My TEA heads had 2.02/1.575 valves and flowed 328 int 258.2 exh at .600

On there site it shows 2.04 @ .600 flowing 320 on 229 cc. Intake port. So it shows that 2.02 must work a little Better.. I just got the radius cutter cause I was not happy with the exhaust numbers I got on 82 cc exhaust port was 213 cfm at .600 had a very nice curve that was for a 5.3 street heads only had about 600 $ budget so that was good enough.

Been testing all kinds of differnt heads and combos even the afr 230 mongoose exhaust don't flow that kind those tea heads flow on the exhaust side.. Maybe the bench I'm using is Soft..



Port matched Holley on afr heads

Ill look for my info on port volume but I believe it was the 229cc. He said they actually flowed 335 int @ .650 lift.
