Very encouraging info in this thread.
I've been thinking about trading my Fast 90 setup for a super victor setup when I swap on these go-to-hell ported 243's.
Gives me even more reason to hack off the wiper cowl. Lol

Once you work without a cowl you'll never want to again

I really think this type of intake/TB setup is better than a FAST setup if the cam is setup for it. How would this intake/TB setup work on a turbo car? I know with FI the elbow is not a restriction in regards to HP/TQ. What are your thoughts on this?

It works very well on a turbo car.

I'm sure I'll find out in due time how this setup does with a hat and 20lbs of boost. Might take a couple years.......but thats the plan

How did you setup the throttle cable? Did it require a different cable and mount? If so, where did you get them at? Also, what fuel rails are you running?

I'm running an Aaron's elbow with the Super Vic & was able to keep the wipers. The cowl did require a little more than notching though.

How did you do your throttle cable setup? Did you have to buy a new cable or fab up a mounting bracket? Did the TB you used accept all the needed connections?

I used the Lokar 48" LS throttle cable, cut to lenght. Throttle bracket was made on the elbow & any 90mm throttle body will work.. Just had to extend my tps & iac pigtails.

If I go this route, it will be the Super Victor with Scorpion 4150 TB. I'm just trying to figure out what all the "extra" things I'm going to need that I'm not thinking of to make this setup work. Do you remember what all parts you had to buy aside from the intake and TB?

I used the stock cable with a lokar cable end and a CSR bracket. The rails are Edelbrock standard Vic jr /Super vic rails. I had to buy gaskets as the Super does not come o ringed lik the Jr. Throttle return spring/ drill the back runner for a MAP sensor/ relocate iat and move wiring harness/ deleted knock sensors and installed edelbrock block off plate/ AN line and fittings. See pic on page one.

Did you buy all those parts from the same place? I need to try and find part numbers for this stuff. Thanks a lot for the great information. You've been very helpful.

Thanks man. I was googling away and writing stuff down. This helps a lot.

What is the part that sits right beneath the intake that has Edelbrock written on it? That's not the gasket, or is it?

To add to your list, I recommend the Fel-Pro MS98016T intake gaskets.. They are a truck style gasket, but have a metal body vs plastic.. There are some rubber nubs that need to be cut off to make them fit properly, but that's easy.

The part you're reffering to with the Edelbrock name on it is a valley cover w/out knock sensor provisions..

You can use those too, but I dont like paper intake gaskets.
