Default sewing machine sound after h/c swap

After h/c swap, car started to make a ticking noise. The so called sewing machine. Didn't have it before I did swap or at least didn't hear it as bad.
I keep factory rockers with 7.35 push rods. Put ls7 lifters. Cam lift 600. Its a daily driver and only bang on it every once in a while. People are saying rockers could be bad. Wanted to get some advice and see what you people think.

1. Keep factory rocker arms and do trunion upgrade
2. Upgrade rockers arms ( what size and read ytu are better for a daily driver)
3. If I upgrade rockers is there any other adjustments that I need to make or anything I should check or can I just swap rockers and call it a day.

Thanks
I'm new and trying to understand all this.

I'd do trunion upgrade on the factory rockers.
Not sure how loud your valvetrain is now, but it's normal for it to be louder than stock.
BTW, what's the cam specs, what lobes, and how much lifter preload do you have ?

Did you check your PR length while doing the upgrade. Sounds like your PR's might not be the correct length, or even could be an exhaust leak

Factory rockers with the trunnion upgrade are just fine! You probably aren't going to get rid of the valve train noise. Most refer to it as the sewing machine noise. I think it sounds like an old solid lift cam. Did you check the condition of your trunnions when you did the h/c swap?

The guy who did the work used a pushrod checker. I'm sure he measured it but I can maybe have him double check.

I'll check with him but he didn't mention anything.

do you have longtube headers? They will amplify the noise. I started with 7.35 measuring. That gave me about .087 preload. I was seriously concerned with how loud it was. After lots of different opinons I went to a 7.3 pushrod. It did quiet down but not enough to have messed with it again. My combination was lq9, l92 heads, 04 ls6 came with ls3 springs new ls3 rockers and ls7 lifters. 17,000 miles it does get louder when I get on it but the oil looks great and I have had no mechanical issues. After 10,000 miles I went to german castrol and the oil looks even better after 5000 miles.

I guess what I am saying is don't sweat it too much.

Yep. As long as it was measured for correct length, and your preload is between say .045 and .080, you're good to go.

It's perfectly normal, pending the lobe type, for it to be much more audible. You might not even be hearing a "tick" like you think. It could simply be your valves snapping shut. Person who said the longtubes amplifies is is right as well.

229/236 .631.631 cam here with LS7's, Comp PR's and trunion upgraded stock rockers, and mine sounds like a Singer.

If it's running good and oil is good, roll with it.

Yes I put new long tube headers on it to. Had car for 2 months, oil is fine and car runs just fine.
Guess i can do trunion upgrade to be on safe side, plus won't hurt to do it anyways. Guess I'll roll with since its all good and most of the feedback says its normal. Thanks guys. PS I'll check my preload also.
