If you use the ls1 coolant tube you don't have to knock all the tabs down, just the ones touching the tube..

Flip the intake upside down and lay the coolant tube over the bottom of it and see where it's touching.. Then just dremel/tin snips the ribs to make a pathway

Second option is buy a ls6 front coolant crossover, and get the truck coolant crossover for the rear which is similar to the ls6 version except it shoots straight up vs outward..

Then you "t" them together and then back to the radiator, if you do it this way you won't have to cut any fins on the intake

Look at the pic for this option

Lay the chisel flat and start tapping with a hammer. Ribs will fly off, then used a lighter grinding disk and smoothed out the bottom of the intake.

It's up to you.. I had the ls6 crossover already so it made my decision easier..

It's preference, some people don't like to cut on their car.

Buy the ls6 steam vent tubes rather than taking a chisel to a composite intake, sure it would work but it isn't the right way to do it and you risk the intake, but to each their own

My take on it is this: The ls6 vent tubes are far, far cheaper than the ls6 intake. So, swap steam tubes, or take a chisel to the intake?
