if the o-ring doesn't fix the issue, it is still possible that the pump is defective. It is unlikely, but any mass produced part will have a chance of defect happening during manufacture.

Got it figured out. We had swapped to the 7.350 pushrods and i ended up pulling them back out and putting in the 7.400's again and went to the oil pump because of the oil issue and sure enough the o-ring to the pickup tube was the issue. Put a new one in and everything is great. Off to the tuner before too long. Thank you all for the help everyone.

That O ring in the oil pickup tube is a bitch to keep in place

Quite a few times I have seen people put them into the pump without using any lube. The o ring will roll and pinch then usually.

Ya we ended up lifting the engine and dropping the pan and sure enough we got the pickup tube off replaced it abd now is as good as new. Pushin 60psi at idle after warmed up. Couldnt be happier.

All i have currently at this time is a small tune nothing to really drive on. Next month i should be getting it finished up being tuned on the dyno and ill post my end result. Im hoping 400rwhp
