Nice build. You should make crazy power with this setup. I did a 5.3 high CR 13.7:1 last year for my truck and it put down 499.6 HP to the wheels on a mustang loaded dyno. It was in a 2004 Silverado regular cab and ran 11.0 @123 MPH all motor. My motor would rev to the moon lol.

Nice! I should see high 500s at the very least I would think. Were you on e85 or race gas with your build?

My AI 243s with their 232 cc service came in. They were milled down to 57 cc and received 2.055 intake valves as well as machined for 3/8" pushrods.

I didn't look to see if they came with one but AI has one posted on their site not quite the same as my application though.

Glad to see the heads came in. Do you have everything parts wise now to get it built?

The only things I need are pushrods, main and rod bearings, and a few gaskets. The bearings the shop is going to decide what I need and I'll buy it from them most likely unless their prices are ridiculous. After that I just need fuel pump and hot wire kit and a tune to get up and running. Well and tires. I bought some tires though already. I got BF Goodrich KDWs 335 30 18 for the rear and I'll be getting 275 35 18 for the front. I found them cheap so these are just to get me on the road until I figure out my traction scenario as well as power level and after which I will probably invest in either Pirelli Corsa system or Nitto NT01s.

Down to them but by the end of June I am hoping. I need to get another quote since my build changed slightly but I wouldn't think it would have changed it that much.

I decided to get a Walbro 450 lph fuel pump as I think that will supply all my fueling needs with e85 on a single pump, especially if I upgrade the lines as well. If needed I'll get a second pump though.

Which hotwire kit are you getting with it? If one were to use that pump without e85, do you think you'd have to upgrade the lines, or would the pump and hotwire kit be enough?

I haven't gotten the hot wire kit yet but probably racetronix standard hot wire kit for my 98 is what I am going to get. I would think the pump and the hot wire kit would be enough without having to upgrade the lines with e85 but we shall see when I get the car on a dyno. I plan on upgrading the lines regardless at some point though. For a double pump though I would definitely upgrade the lines.

So you think you'll be able to fit the 450 pump in the stock bucket and just do a hotwire upgrade and be ready to go? Any idea how much HP that pump supports on 93 and e85? Are you going return style, or keeping it as is?

98s don't have a bucket. I'll need to cut and splice a connector but pretty much yeah. For now I am keeping the system as is. I read it will support over 950 on 13.5 volts or 800 on 12 I am not sure what it would be with the hotwire kit though. I did a calculation and for my setup and found I only need a 323 lph pump but that is pushing it if I used a 340 but a 450 would give me room to grow.

Finding the correct fuel pump is hard. Vendors will tell you the Racetronix hotwire kit will not work on these larger flowing pumps and will tell you that you need aftermarket this and aftermarket that and bigger lines, etc. Hard to know what's bs and what's not.

I know all the tuners I talk to suggest the racetronix hot wire kit for any aftermarket fuel pump. I personally think a lot of what some vendors say is bs and that weighs heavily on the vendor and if they are like a used car salesman who just want your money or not.
