Let me know what you end up getting, and how much it costs you. I need to upgrade my fuel system, and I'd like to do it right, and have one setup for whatever I want to throw at it. Better to do it right the first time.

If I hadn't found the pump separate for a really good price I would have gotten the kit from Lonnies Performance or Nasty Performance and it will run around $1800 but it is complete and plug and play.

Good deal man. The more I look at this thread the more I wish I was loaded and could afford to do something like this. Going to be damn crazy when you get it all back together.

There are a couple items which I will have to wait on since I have had a couple unexpected expenses but they will be done within next year for sure but they are not things that I can't get the car up and running without.

My block came in today and I will post pictures after I get it out of the crate. Also my dual fuel pump came in today. I am planning on using a hobbs switch but I am not exactly sure what to set it to so it kicks on when needed. Or maybe not run a hobbs switch at all?

I have a question. I noticed you went with the K1 parts. Are you not afraid that they are reaching their limit with your planned power levels? I ask because I am considering the same rods and crank with a max of 650 whp/wtq.

They are forged and I seriously doubt I will reach their limit with my build if I was like 800 or so I would be worried. The pistons I have are made for really high HP applications and the rods are made specifically for strokers and are forged as well as the crank. Are you getting the stroker rods? Those are the ones I have.
I know plenty of guys running a Procharger with 500+ rwhp on stock internals so I think I will be fine on the K1 stuff.

Not yet but they were going to machine them for 3/8" pushrods for free so that my take a little extra time. I'll probably message him in a couple days to see when.

I think the forged rotating assembly you have will be more than fine for the power levels you'll be reaching. Hell, you see 1000+ HP builds on stock bottom ends, so I'd be confident using them for a blower or turbo application too.

I hear you. It seems like there aren't too many reviews on the products themselves. I called tech support at K1 and I was told that they have some people bust cranks with 300hp and some running up to 1500hp. They also said they only see a few come back a year and they sell hundreds. I agree that improper installation and other variables could cause issues. Just wish there was more data on them. At the price I am getting they are very tempting. For the record, I am thinking of going with the 4" crank and the rods. I don't foresee myself going over 750whp with some sort of boost.

one other note. I called wiseco as well to discuss my power goals and their pistons. their sales staff said that the wrist pins on the pistons should only be used to about 600-700hp. Again, I don't know how often they fail on people. Did you consider the upgraded wrist pins or have you done research and determined it isn't necessary?

The ones I have come with Chromoly wrist pins standard you can choose to have tool steel but I don't know why you would. The Chromoly should with stand my build no problem. The pistons I bought aren't their cheaper ones so they are stronger meaning a better alloy used and an overall better design.

Some info on them below:

-2618 Alloy: Will not shatter like hypereutectic or cast pistons
-Strutted skirt design is the strongest and specially designed to run at as little as .004" clearance, with excellent skirt wear and minimal noise or rock
-Radiused Valve Pocket for detonation resistance and increased flow around valves
-Anti-detonation Grooves with the added benefit of keeping the top ring groove free of carbon
-3mm oil rings for better oil control and reduced friction for more horsepower
-Pressure Groove for enhanced ring seal
-Features Chrome Moly Pins and Spiralox (Tool Steel pins optional)
-Race-ready domes don't require deburring by the engine builder
-Skirt coated for lower friction, reduced noise, and superior life
-Multi-fit valve pockets for interchangeability of cylinder heads

The pistons I am getting are almost the same aside from the dish. Just thought I'd share because our builds will have a lot in common. I hope the stock pins that come with the pistons will last you a long time.

Based on their construction and my power level, I think I will be just fine but I may call them and ask about the pin upgrade and my application to see what they suggest. Thanks for the information though.

So yeah I need upgraded wrist pins. The part number is S718. Even if I am not at the level that it is required it will be good to have piece of mind.
