I am trying to decide on lifters. I was going to use BTR SLR Lifters but they are out of stock and I have no clue when they will be in again. I need something that will work well for street and track driving with the possibility of maintaining over 7k rpm regularly.

On certain ones lifters collapsed or worse after a couple thousand miles. They were Morel lifters too but I have only read a few instances of this and I think they were the 5290 series though, their entry level link bar lifters.

Some of the Morels have very tight clearances so any little but of trash in the engine and they will fail. I want to say the 5206 Morels are the "street" lifter that would better suit an application like this. I don't know if you've noticed, but Colorado Speed has also been pushing other good alternatives to LS7 lifters and BTR's SLR lifters.

Thanks and it is nice to see others doing a similar build. Have you started your build yet? I am also considering converting over to a manual and ditching the a4 down the road but for now I will stick with it. On another note my custom cam from EPS should be shipping out Monday.

Yes I am in the process of installing a four link back half . And my Patriot heads with Thompson CNC are at Frankenstein Racing Heads as we speak getting fitted with bigger intake and smaller exhaust valves as well as bowl blend to help with the shrouding . I have a Ram twin disk with billet flywheel . a/c and p/s delete with Meizer h2o pump so no drag on this rotating assembly half and half street/strip . With SPRAY ! Direct port dry 100 shot then a wet second stage with Peak Speed ported Typhoon intake . opened up to 102mm :-D

Sounds like a pretty cool build dude. I was considering doing N2O possibly at some point since my FAST has the ports for it. I am doing MAX effort as well, no point in not doing that when you are dishing out the money anyway.
