That's another way to look at this. Other than the one questionable retainer, they probably would've worked & performed just fine. The surface grinding at the spark plug would not affect performance.

An email has been sent to the vendor seeking their comment on the issues. I hope to have a response today.

As far as the LS6 springs and retainers: Yes, an aftermarket cam is on the shelf as are a set of BTR springs and retainers. But, this thread isn't about that - I've got a build thread for those discussions.
