5.7 ls1 cam options?
So I'm buying my buddy's camaro it's an a4 unfortunately to me but I'm looking into fairly inexpensive cam options it's going to be my summer daily driver so nothing to radical and I'd prefer not to have to replace rockers Or springs. however I'll Be Buying Push Rods And Lifters Being It Has A Lifter Issue To Begin With Hence Why Looking For A Cam While Its Torn apart. Something mild to moderate maybe give me a few extra hp yet a noticeable lobe. Another question is what is the stock pushrod length

look at the GM ASA or the GM hot cam .new springs cost $60 ,replace them if the car has over 50K .check the rocker arm bearings ,replace them if they feel really loose .stock push rod length should be 7.385 .most people swap in 7.4 harden ones .check Texas Speed for cam pkgs ,and gaskets .get a ls2 timing chain .it would be easy to swap valve springs and use a TSP 244r cam ,114 lsa .it will work with a stock stall .get a mail order tune from Frost on this forum .I will swap the springs for free if you bring the heads to my place .too much more to mention .

Valve springs are a wear item. Be quick to replace them, especially if you're planning a new cam and performance driving. New LS6 springs can be had for <$100 of you watch for them.
