lq4 cylinder wall problem
Bought this lq4 complete minus accessories, starter and harness. Payed $350. Tore it down, cleaned everything up and seen this... I won't be able to see it from another angle until I get an engine stand. Can this be fixed with a resleeve?
Also, what are complete 317 heads going for now? Thanks guys

That looks like the very bottom, which should not cause any problems unless you're building a stroker. You can see how far down it is from where the rings are at BDC, so it shouldn't cause any problems with ring seal.
If it were me, I'd use it and just hone the block. The hone will smooth out any high spots that could damage the skirt of the piston.

Here are two more pictures of the damage.
The first is the picture is of the cylinder wall.
The second is under 7. Is this the water jacket? Is this repairable?
Thanks guys

Well with the damage, anyone know if this block is worth anything to anyone?
Mock up block is the only purpose I can think of, other than maybe turn it into a table? haha
