Default F13 Installed

The cam install took much longer than anticipated but finally finished up last night. Hopefully will be getting a dyno tune next week

Car idled fine after letting it warm up for about 5 minutes

Here is a video clip of the cam right after we started the car, picture isn't great:

The car sounds great!! That is the first time I have heard that cam in a car and I must say I am going to be happy after I get it mine in. Mine is still sitting here sitting in a box with a bunch of other parts that are going in the Iroc. What was the main reason for going with a 114 over a 112 in your setup? I went with a 114 to get the power range down to a more usable rpm level for street use.

Lower LSA brings your peak down buddy, for example i got the F13 on a 113 and have 2 degrees built in so my cam is on a a 111 intake centerline and it peaked at 6450, Gomers F13 was on a a 112 and had 2 degreees in it so he was on a 110 ICL and his peaked at 6300
heres a graph of my F13 with TEA stage 2 5.3s through a 12 bolt on 18 in rims

So are FMS cams cut with an XER type lobe? Are they as hard on the valvetrane as Comp cams with such lifts?

XER lobes are comp lobes, FMS cams are Cam Motion ground cams.....to make all the under the curve torque you must have very fast ramps(hard lobes) but these seem to be very stable in the upper rpms as well

Damn, I was set on an F11, but this F13 looks pretty nice. Does the cam shake the car much on a 114 LSA? I hate that racecar idle shake.

I actually had the F11 ordered and they couldn't get it to me in time for my dyno tune so instead of that I decided to go with the F13 and I'm really happy with the sound

I would think with tuning there will be very little lope, actually wish I had more now

also car doesn't shake much at all, when your in it you can't even tell

Sounds good. I think I'm going to roll a F13 on a 114 LSA. Please let us know some track times when you get the car out. Thanks.
