Engine at an angle?
I'm putting an LM7 in an RX7 FC and I've cut the firewall to mount the engine very far back(it's fully mid engined...front of heads is 2" behind the towers). The problem is that the oil pan is not clearing the powersteering and I don't feel like relocating or reshaping it for now.
With the t56 jacked all the way up, the engine still sits at a slight angle; maybe 10-15 degrees. Is that bad for the engine? I assume it's not since the oil pickup is in the back but wanted to be sure.
Thanks in advance
Also let me know if you know of a cheap-ish dry sump system or have any other advice on the fitment.
10-15* isn't bad but not ideal. I'm sure you could get plenty of info on the norotors forum.
So can anyone tell me why it's not optimal? Oil feed is the only reason that comes to my mind and I don't believe it's an issue...if anything, it should be getting more!
