Planning first stroker LS1/383

Update: put the rotating assembly in at the machine shop to check deck height and see what we need to do to get 11.5:1. Piston is 13 thousandths in the hole? I thought these motors were pretty close to zero or even out of the hole most of the time, or is that just with stock setups?

I will have to check my paper for the comp height. Deck height checked with magnetic micrometer with new crank, bearings, and one rod and piston installed, spun several times and checked several times.

Had to deck the block and mill the heads to get my 11.5:1. I'll also end up using a thinner gasket to get a good quench, which i didn't really want to do but oh well.
The word on clearances is the rods look good at .0022, but i had to get another set of bearings for the mains. Mains were coming out more on the wrong side of .0025 and i had wanted pretty close to .0020. So thats another 140 bones. I guess it never stops. Lol
