The car made 523/487. When it was put together the car actually had a strange noise we couldn't figure out. After the fact I had the intake off fixing a vacuum leak the car had from the beginning and noticed half inch or rocker bolt in the port so while cutting those off one day I found the noise. I could pick several of the rockers off the valve tip over .0020 and one I could bottom the lifter out but picking up on the rocker. With those issues fixed it probably would have made a little more power. That explains the minor spike and nose dive on the dyno graph.

I don't have the original sheet but it made 523/487. The original tuner was a joke. I was getting 10.0 afr at part throttle. Car wouldn't run at all cold constant 10 afrs. Wot would mellow to 12.6 up top on my wideband this tune goes between 12.9-13.1 the new tuner had 3 degrees more timing in a lot of areas to. I didn't understand the loading the dyno deal but if the car made 535 and loading the dyno kicked it to 555 then removing the air box lid took it to 571 on the unloaded dyno the car would have to be in the upper 540s 550. I just don't know how loading the dyno effected the numbers. I've never seen a 408 make 571.

Torque is good all the way through. A 4k hit in 2nd gear seems to be it's wheel house. It's pretty brutal. And driveability is actually really good. Very very Minor bucking at light throttle occasionally but never really anything annoying. It's actually been my dd for the past month pretty much. I drove it 3 hours to the track one way when it ran the 10.55.

The fact you drove the car 3 hours away and went a 10.55 is what I respect! No trailer queen!

Will do. If I can get to a track with a better da than 2k, enough gear, and traction. I think I can be knocking on 9s door na with a stick.

I agree with Matt @ Tick as long as the octane of the gas doesn't drop with altitude. In Lubbock we were at nearly 4,000ft and the highest octane you could buy was 91
