Default help need a nitrouse set up for a 300 shot

Hi first of all can a ls1 block withstand 300 shot of nitrouse on race fuel. I am about to buy a rotating assembly for my ls1 m6 camaro . Can some one guide me on what size rotating assembly in terms of going 383 or 347 and what size pistons /brand . And what size crank shaft and conecting rods . Current mods a stoke bottom ls1 42ib injectors full bolts on fresh ported 243 ms4 cam kit Ls6 intake . Monster level 3 clutch . Thanx

For a stock pistons and rods 300 would be to much. With a good set of forged rods and pistons, 300 is no problem (with supporting fuel system). Most people are on here are going to tell you that x name brand is best. Most likely because it is what they have in their engine. Call some sponsors/engine builders and see what they recommend and why. At least they should have some actual hands on when dealing with the products.

You need a nitrous cam... 235/252 115+5 or something in that neighborhood.

So what size is the motor going to be? 388 or 347.if u are building this motor then yes forge the whole bottom end. Either way need the bottom if doin a 300 shot. 300 shot on stock hypereutectic pistons u better have a GOOD tuner.

You definitely need a nitrous cam to pick up the full potential of that size shot.

With that being said, I as well as several others have had good luck hosing 300 on a stock bottom end. It just takes a good tune (timing low) and very little fuel. Even then it's still hit or miss.

No its not going to be a stoke bottom end . Am thinking more in a 383 set up built in a stoke alluminum block . So how much nitrouse is safe with the right tune .

Any amount of nitrous is fine with the right short block, valve train/induction and tune up.

Camshaft is very important in a heavy nitrous combination and IMO there are no shelf camshafts that will allow optimum performance on that amount of nitrous.

I also wouldn't waste my money building a 383. You can get good coin for a LS1 block and use it to put into a LQ4/9 or LS2/3 block.
