I would change your valve seals. It would have been easy when you were doing the springs.

Yea I know, but it never smoked until Now so I figured I should be alright keeping the stock ones. The car has 87k miles on it so it's not really high mileage. Any suggested place to get the seals from?

Cool, I thought I read the intake and exhaust valves have different seals, is this correct?

When I look at the fel pro kit online, I don't see any difference

Some kits are different. Some aren't. Black for intake and brown for exhaust.

You CAN run all brown. I wouldn't recommend running all black.

I used the ones from gm parts direct. There were 2 different color seals black and brown and i think brown was the exhaust.

Well good news! No more smoke, why? I have no clue. I opened valve covers and all is well. It was smoking pretty bad where I could be idling at a red light and see the smoke in a rear view mirror. Now exhaust is normal from the few times I've drove and got out and checked it. Il keep my eyes on it but I'm just sitting back and enjoying that cammed ls1 life. So far 130 miles on it! It needs some more adjustments on the tune cuz up top it gets some KR, but overall it drives well and it sounds mean!

Yea it took a while to source all the parts, because I wanted a "budget build" but it pays off in the end not rushing out buying all the parts for top dollar price. I'm working on the tune now doing an email tune with PCM of NC since they tuned it before for my bolts ons/stall. It was $50 for a reflash so I figured we could get it pretty close this way since they get my logs and adjust it accordingly.

Just wanted to update with Dyno results. She put down 363rwhp and 365tq. My mods include: slp lid, ls6 intake, 228r 114lsa cam, QTP lt's and Ypipe to a cut out and 3200 stall.
I was hoping for more but I know with a stalled auto my car won't be a Dyno queen. Should be getting to the track very soon.

Trust me its not a dyno queen but it will prove itself on the track with a good tire and good launch.Dyno is just numbers..but look at you power curve. It must drive quite nice with the tune on it.
