Any lid will do and probably an ls6 intake/larger throttle body long tube headers.

There is a sticky somewhere for something like this let me find it.

Budget turbo setup will be by far the best HP/$, depending on how much power you actually want to have. A turbo setup done on the cheap can cost the same as a good Heads/Cam combo and make a couple of hundred horsepower more.... on the stock heads and cam.

Nitrous is the best hp/$ ratio. For less than 1000 you can have a complete nitrous setup and add 150HP which the stock motor can take.

Nitrous is the best HP per dollar initially. Bottle refills and availability quickly add to the cost. Plus, once you get up around a 200 shot nitrous requires all of the fuel and tuning that a turbo setup would.

If you want to keep it below a 200 shot and don't plan to use it often, nitrous is the way to go

A badass NOS setup would be nice but I think I want something a little easier on the engine, gonna have to stick with the basic bolt-ons for now just looking for the best prices right now think on going with SLP cold air setup found one for 316$ I imagine that's a good price.

yea a slp lid would help and a ls6 intake along with long tube headers. That will get it breathing better

Cam kit and headers would be the way to go then. Cam adds anywhere from 40-75 depending on how crazy you go. LTs will add 20-25.

Budget heads can be had for around 1000-1100 as well and can add a solid 40-50rwhp.

One setup I like: Vengeance Racing cam kit with the VRX4, TSP Stage 1 LS6 heads with no valve springs, and TSP 1-7/8" stainless LT headers. Roughly 2500$ and would add about 100rwhp. The Vengeance kit comes with everything you need and the TSP heads and headers are good for the money.
