I was in the same boat with my old 395 stroker. Without going internal I picked up ~35rwhp/40rwtq with better "bolt-ons" and tune. Here's a list of upgrades I did...

Whisper lid upgraded to Fast Toys 98mm lid
Added Chris1313 Ram air
Hooker 1 3/4 LT's upgraded to ARH 1 7/8 headers
85mm MAF upgraded Speed Density
Magnaflow catback upgraded to Mufflex 4"
Removed cats (had no idea one was clogged)

Buy them from Tooley; get them w/ turned down LS3 intake valves (2.04); powder metal guides (which allows you to run stock GM rockers); milled to the same spec you have currently; and get Tooley to hand finish them. Best bang for the buck on the market IMO.

I Was looking at these could I send these to tooley to get ported with the powdered metal guides?

Why send anything to him? You can get them direct from him, with whatever you want. One stop shopping.

That's true but. If I want to slowly build them I want to buy them now and then send them out to him when I have the funds for the pp work. I already have the springs which are still pretty new. I Was wondering because these say you need roller rockers but I rather us the stockers with the comp upgrade

I would take a look at the PRC as cast heads as well. They are very nice out out of the box and already come with powdered metal guides installed. Any competent cylinder head porter can get you great results out of either of those castings. Big valves make big power. It's just a matter of is your valve train setup properly to use it. Port the fast intake if you haven't already as well. You would be surprised at the gains from that alone.

You mean the as cast 225s or the CNC 227s? 225s come standard with PM guides. You can request the PM guides on the 227s but they come with bronze. I would do the trickflow as cast or the PRC as cast and then have them further worked by someone else. Your paying alot more for the CNC job when you can have them further ported and end up better for similar or less money. The only thing with the as cast TFS heads is a 64cc chamber. The PRC head starts out smaller at 62cc. Either way you go your better off spending the extra money on light valves or additional work.

OK gotcha... if I did decide to go with the link I posted I can have the worked and request the pm? Because I have spring and valves. If not the probably just get the fast ported and the exhaust

OK so this is what I think I'm going to do. I already got some 1 7/8 tape headers from a member on here, and I think I'm going to go with the tfs220s send them off to frankenstein racing magic and get my fast 92ported and use the 85mm maf if this doesn't put me in the 500rwhp range I need to stop building lol
