Default LQ4 comp w 243 heads

I am getting a 10.35:1 ratio with the 64cc chambers of the 243's. I am using GM stock LS3 gaskets ( 4.068" x .051" )and the heads have had a small cleanup pass on them just to make sure they are straight. Does this sound about right?

Completely off topic but why are you using an ls3 gasket on a 4.000 bore?

It was gonna originally be a boost build and the vendor I bought them and the arp studs from told me they hold well over 1000hp without issue. BTW, the setup in your sig is what Im trying to do with my dd.

Why do guys use LS9 head gaskets on 5.3 turbo builds?

are you sure they aren't LS9 gaskets? and ah okay. yeah my car did 11.43 at 119mph with 3.70 gears, yank 3600, TSP 1 7/8th headers, FAST 92mm Street heat stage 2 and bone stock 243's with no milling but they did have 4 bad exhaust valves that would not seal correctly. I'm doing a boost build now but your car should haul ***.. I would just switch to an LS2 gasket or a cometic .041 thick gasket

from what i understand, the 7 layers is the reason why people aren't having issues with them on smaller bores.

Im not 100% sure but thats what I was told when ordering them along with the other stuff for the build. the 243's will have stainless 2.02/ 1.575 valves in them with a competition vj and they will be paired with a howards 232/236 .625/.625 @112+4 on 108 cam. This will be going in my 2000T/A in sig.
