Default cam lobe pitting

Hi, I Just got today m'y new used cam I bought. It has pitting on one of thé lobes. Is that still usable? Does It look like a 3000 mile wear?

Can't tell you how many miles but that cam is shot. I wouldn't use it

That right there is a good reason to see some photo's on the actual cam before hand.

Yep,
I hope guys who buy used cams will read this post. Ask pictures, don't just rely on the fact that the persone has been around for a while and has good ratings.

Someone sent me a cam on here once that looked like it had been run for thousands of miles with valve float. He refunded me and said he was going to use it in another car.

I wouldn't run the cam shown in here either. That little bit of wear will get worse quickly.

I wouldn't run that. Used cams should not look like that. If properly maintained, the finish should still look new when pulling them out.

The 150k cam I had in my engine looks much much better. No wear like on this cam. The other lobes are not pitted but do have some marks on them as if the lifters dragged on them or something.
