Default Cam expert advise needed, LSA question...

I ordered a custom spec'd cam and it arrived this week. Comp cams ground the cam, I opened the box to check out the card and spec's that went into the grind and found ??? The LSA was off by a few degree's. The spec'd cam was to be 223-227 617/598 on 116+3, I received 223-227 617/598 on 116.0 according to the cam card. This is to be my first LS series cam install spec'd for Calofornia emissions and the stock stall. How will the lack of timing advance in the grind differ?

Thanks guys..

You will have slightly less bottom end power without the 3* advance. So you will need a multi key crank gear to advance the cam.

If it is a 116+ 3. The LSA should be 116 the ICL should be 113 I think. What is the ICL on the card?

Look at your cam card again up above where it has the duration at .05" lift, It should say something like,
"@ 113.0 Intake Center Line" .

If it says 113 I.C.L. then you cam has +3 advance.

Exactly. It'll say 116 LSA, 113 ICL and 119 ECL.

The spec'd cam was to be 223-227 617/598 on 116+3, I received 223-227 617/598 on 116.0 according to the cam card.
So you ordered a 116 LSA and you got a "116.0" according to the cam card?

Where exactly is the problem? What were you expecting?
