Default Cheapest route to forge engine

I am looking for forged rods and pistons. What is the cheapest price for a set? Was looking at wiseco pistons and some k1 rods but wasn't sure if there were any other good quality options, that might be more affordable?

If not where is the best pricing on a set?

Wiseco is a great manufacturer of pistons and engine parts. We build a lot of engines here with Wiseco components and are currently building 4 in the shop this week. If you need a great price and advice we are happy to help. Feel free to give me a call and Ill gladly help you get what you need to meet the goals your after with your build.

Chris, I see you guys build a 418 short block with some quality parts in it. Do you build those in-house?

Yes we do build all of our engines in house. We are new to the forum here but in weeks to come I will be posting build threads on the thing we are doing in house. This week alone we are building 4 engines. Two of the engine are LQ9 builds with forged internals, one being a N/A build and the other being a nitrous engine. One is a forged LS3 swap going into a C5, and the other is a beastly RHS 440 cubic inch engine going into a H2.

I have seen the scat i beam rods, are they any good? I'd imagine they are stronger than stock but how much?

I'm running a 78mm turbo right now and reason going forged is i think i damaged a rod or piston. Also are the probe pistons 2618? never really heard much about probe, are they very good?

Don't have any personal experience with these brands. We use Wiseco, and Diamond and always had good luck with those, so we stick to what works.
